Comment Guidelines

Comments are open on every Htownfan post. No account or email needed, just a nickname. Talk trash about the other team all you want. Keep it friendly with each other.

The rules

• Be respectful. No personal attacks, slurs, threats or harassment.
• Keep it about Houston sports (or at least sports).
• No links, ads or self-promotion. Comments with links are held for review.
• Don't share personal info, yours or anyone else's. No emails or phone numbers.
• Don't pretend to be someone else, including Htownfan.

How moderation works

Every comment goes through a spam check, including a Cloudflare "verify you are human" check. Comments that pass go up right away. Comments that look like spam are held for review and only appear if the site owner approves them. That includes comments with links, emails or phone numbers, spammy words, a lot of ALL CAPS or repeated letters, repeats of an earlier comment, or ones posted very fast.

To keep things fair, each person can post a few comments an hour and up to 10 a day, and the site has a daily limit too. The site owner can remove any comment at any time.
